Introducing s&box Explorer

I’ve been working on a package browser for s&box that makes it easier to discover games, maps, and other content from the community.

What It Does

s&box Explorer is a web-based tool for browsing packages from the s&box ecosystem. You can search for content, view package details, and keep track of your favorites.

The site pulls data from the official s&box API and caches it locally for faster loading. Most pages load in under 200ms once cached.

Current Features

  • Search packages with filters (type, organization, tags)
  • View detailed package information and media
  • Steam login to save favorites and preferences
  • Follow packages for update notifications (currently not working correctly)
  • Browse trending content via UGC charts
  • Multiple themes and language support
  • User profiles and reputation system

Work in Progress

The site is still being actively developed. Some features are experimental and may change. If you run into bugs or have suggestions, feel free to reach out.

I’m working on improving performance, adding more customization options, and refining existing features based on feedback.

Rest in Peace, Garry.

This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to write. Garry passed away at 12:45 PM. Sadly, he had to be put to sleep because the right side of his body wasn’t working properly. The vet suggested he might have developed a brain tumour, and ending his suffering was the best choice. This was the toughest decision I’ve ever faced.

I gave him all the cuddles and kisses, telling him he was a good boy, the best boy. I cupped his face while the vet did her work; in an instant, he was gone.

I love you so much, Garry. You’re the sunshine in my heart and mind. I’ll never forget you.

Discover the Art of Virtual Photography in Video Games

Hi everyone,

My name is Patrick Jr., and I’m a virtual photographer. I’m passionate about capturing the beauty and detail of video game worlds through the lens of virtual photography.

Virtual photography is a unique art form that allows gamers to create stunning and artistic images using the in-game camera tools. It’s different from traditional photography in that you’re not limited by the real world; you can explore vast and fantastical landscapes, pose characters and creatures, and control the lighting and weather conditions to create your perfect shot.

I’ve been creating virtual photographs for quite a few years now, and I’m always amazed by the creativity and skill of other virtual photographers. In my work, I love the challenge of finding the perfect composition and lighting to capture the mood and atmosphere of a scene.

My favourite pieces in my portfolio include my virtual photographs from Horizon Forbidden West, Assassins Creed Mirage, Red Dead Redemption 2 and many more. Capturing these virtual worlds has been both challenging and rewarding. It’s a lot of fun to explore these games and find hidden corners and details that most players would miss. But it can also be difficult to get the perfect shot, especially when dealing with constantly moving characters or weather conditions.

I always seek new ways to improve my virtual photography skills and explore new creative techniques. I’m also excited to see how virtual photography continues to evolve as games become more realistic and immersive.

I hope to expand my knowledge to create even more shots in the future!

The Poolrooms

I began crafting a map for the Crazy Eights gamemode titled “The Poolrooms” about a week ago. It’s a serene, uncomplicated liminal space-inspired map. I want to share some images of my progress with you – the first three are slightly older shots.

As part of my map-making process, I designed several planetary skins to use on “The Poolrooms” map. However, I only ended up utilizing the ones for Mars and Venus.

Without further ado, I present to you the latest snapshots of “The Poolrooms” map in its current state!

For those who have access to s&box, I highly recommend testing out the “Crazy Eights” gamemode and selecting pcjr.poolrooms. Alternatively, you can simply type “map pcjr.poolrooms” in the console to jump right into the map. gm_construct 2022 – Update!

Ok, after a while, of slow work I’ve published a new update to my gm_construct map!

  • + Added some more setdressing.
  • + Added Nav Mesh [I hope it works].
  • + Added Mossman Companion Doll.
  • + Updated one of the towers textures [This still needs work]
  • + Updated Textures on many faces.
  • + Basic 3d skybox [for now]
  • + 4k Compile

Known Bugs

  • Some cubemaps are still broken
  • Still need to fix some lighting bugs
  • Textures need to be done on the towers.

Kenshi – Review

I started to play Kenshi after binge-watching Ambiguousamphibians’ Torsolo Series on the game, never really thought I’d enjoy it myself, so I purchased it and had a huge blast I know I’m late to the party, but I still had fun, made my own basic mod too, modding the game is quite simple too.

I’m hoping to be sinking more and more hours into the game, and of course, will be doing the same when Kenshi 2 comes around.
